Kings Place Jazz Orchestra is more than a new resident ensemble – it’s a bold statement of artistic ambition.
Directed by award-winning composer, arranger and trombonist Callum Au, this all-star 10-piece line-up includes members of the orchestra, complete with additional French horn, tuba and special guest vocalist.
This energetic, swinging set of songs is inspired by the music of Marty Paich and the Dektette, in a selection of tunes originally recorded by the great Mel Tormé in 1960 on the seminal album “Swings Shubert Alley”.
